Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lb Milkfish, cleaned and sliced in about 2 inches thick
  • 1/2 bunch kangkong (water spinach), cut; discard hard stems
  • 1/2 pack frozen miso (soy curd); around 1/2 cup 3 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsps ginger, sliced thin
  • 3 pcs medium tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 pcs fresh chili pepper
  • 2 tbsps patis (fish sauce)
  • 1/2 pack tamarind soup mix
  • 2 tbsps olive or any type of cooking oil
  • 6 cups water
  • salt and pepper to taste
