Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2lbs) pork (choice of belly, neck hocks, or any bony part of pork), cut into serving pieces
  • 1 medium onion, sliced lengthwise
  • 2 liters (8 cups) water
  • 1-2 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2 saba (plantain) babanas, each sliced into two pieces
  • 1 pechay baguio (chinese pechay/wombok) cut lengthwise
  • 2 tbsps patis (fish sauce) or more to taste
  • 1 whole medium cabbage, quartered
  • salt and pepper to taste
