BAGOONG ALAMANG FOR KARE-KARE

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces shrimp paste
  • 1 small onion minced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (washed)
  • 3-5 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon powdered pepper
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

    1. Put and heat oil in a pan or wok.
    2. Saute garlic and onion.
    3. Put the raw shrimp paste.
    4. Add vinegar, powdered pepper, and sugar then stir once in a while.
    5. Cook in low heat for 10 to 15 minutes until the color turns brown.
    6. Serve and partner with kare-kare
