Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp ginger, some chopped and some julienned
  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken, cut into serving pieces with skin and bone in *
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 cups sticky rice *
  • 6-8 cups water
  • Pinch of saffron
